OK. So I realise things could get confusing. When I started this blog last week I called it thermoma-knit but realised it was a bit narrow and not reflective of what I really want to do with a blog. So I've gone back to my original idea of focusing on my current textile label. More details will follow.....

So..... what is Thermoma-knits? Well apart from being a made up title from 2 of my passions it's probably going to be about me and how I combine all my life skills and passions into one big woolly blanket of art, food (mainly chocolate) art projects and a light spattering of civic engagement brought on by my day job which tends to drive me to the point of insanity at times but is at the cutting edge of civic engagement, if only civil society realised it..... yes yes all a bit cryptic but this is MY blog for MY interests and musings I'm not confined by the day job.
Well, I went to my favourite wool shop the other day, the well awarded McArees, if you haven't visited either the site or the shops in Stirling or Edinburgh you're not serious about knitting until you have! They have all the usual fantasy knitting yarns and loads of discount boxes to get your knitting paws into. For the first time ever and for a specific purpose which I shall reveal in a few days when I get a bit more blog-onfident I bought some Patons machine wash and tumble dry acrylic, something never experienced before and I have to say for the purpose which as I say will become apparent later, very good.
The lovely M has taken some photos for the blog but has taken them off to some foreign parts in his super phone/camera machine. I have a little sort of regular phone the most exciting thing about it being the pedometer on the face which reminds me that in order to eat as much chocolate as I do daily ( who can resist Green and Blacks, Milk Chocolate, 3 little rectangles only adds up to 59 calories, I have to walk atleast 10,000 steps a day as recommended by the British Heart Foundation, yes yes......

Thermoma -test
OK this is my first posting and my first attempt at a blog! I've been thinking for a long time what can I possibly write a blog about?! There are too many things that I'm interested in, passionate about and so how do I pull it all together? I had a think and did a passion audit my list was -
- My partner, hereby known as M - but he hates the very thought of anything related to the web that isn't work or golf related and even then golf is the only relevant one
- Chocolate - lifelong passion and despair
- The Fall - Stewart Lees' got that covered
- Knitting - 2 degrees and 35 years of practice I cant ignore it
- The weather - I'm a west coaster from Ayrshire is there anything else to talk about???!
So the last 2 win and we get Thermoma-Knit!
